Another diet post! *you lucky sods!*
A couple of months ago saw the release of BPZ in the UK at GeckoDiet...and of course, I want in on that slice of pie! Ordered last week and srrived in double. quick time!
Before i do my review lets me explain a little about BPZ :)
BPZ is the short hand for this new diet, Black Panther Zoological, developed in the States and is one of the few on the market that is primarily insect/protein based (Bugs and Fruit Repashy being the other). There are two flavours available in original and the colourbomb which is infact a strawberry and banana version of the original. I'm starting to see good reviews from some keepers using this so i'll say in advance...if this doesn't work for me, it doesn't mean that yours won't like it! Try it (for more than a night) and see what happens for you! :)

So....on to the testing!
Original:
Mixing up: Its not the worlds nicest smelling CGD but it does mix well! looks..well.....again, not the nicest looking colour in the world lol!! but we do have to remember this is a primarily insect protein diet and not everything good for you looks nice! so don't be put off!
Day one: Alas not a whiff! not unusual for those that followed my start with Pangea though! It's just a matter of persevering with the BPZ's so at least they try it before the decide they don't want it :)
Day two: Shinji looks like he had a tentive lick, Sousuke a little more but not an impressive amount by any sense of the word and some look more like sticky foot prints then licks - Kanames was mainly foot prints so she must of tried if she hopped threw it, just not enough to say she had a small amount. Kyoko's went uneaten but shes digging again and just shed so i think she'll be clutching again within the next week. :)
Colourbomb:
Mixing up: Same as above really though you can smell the banana amongst the week old socks :P Mixes lovely, doesn't look as nice Pangea but a small amount does make quite abit!
Day one: I had takers! Sousuke and Shinji both made a dent in it, not as much as what they normally would but still enough to safely say they ate! Kyoko had a couple of licks but only a very small amount and Kaname ignored it yet again. Still a better response than the previous two nights though!
Day Two: No change but I'm not discouraged, as the best result has been from colourbomb so far I'm going to mix it into their normal diets tomorrow instead of going straight back to the original as previously planned :)
Colourbomb Mixed: Lots of takers! Kyoko munched heartedly with Bomb mixed with Fig clarks and a sprinkle of Pangea (Banana & Papaya...this is her usually mash up of CGD's she enjoys that normally gets alternated with Papaya clarks), Kaname, Shinji and Sousuke all ate with varying degrees (more than the odd lick!) mixed with Pangea (watermelon & Mango)...So far this has elated the best response with my lot and the better of the two BPZ products for me!
Conclusion: I've been used a Mixed CGD (Bomb and normal) for the past week now and it has gotten the best response from mine so far that hasn't been straight Pangea, Kyoko (Clarks eater) started eating less of it but she's been abit all over the place recently with laying and eating.
I'm seeing more and more positive reviews in regards to BPZ, so although i would not have called it a 100% success for myself (yet!)...theirs no reason why it wouldn't be for you and yours! I can see BPZ being a good alternative (though of course, not as good as the real thing ;) ) to live for insect protein if people continue having positive results, be that mixed or straight! :)
Next stop GGGG (Gorgeous Geckos Gourmet Gecko Food) hopefully next month :)
