No plastic for me this time round my friends...The Range have been hit, hit hard and now lacks all foliage plants!!
On a serious note though...buying live established plants needn't be expensive. I spent approximately £60 on Plants and got a wonderful range of plants that filled Four enclosures! Thats an incredible £15 per enclosure!! Including 2 spare plants for if any need time out and some TLC! You can easily spend this, if not more on plastic plants to pack out a 60x30x40 cm (HxLxW) enclosure.
None of these are young plants, they have a nice overall thickness of foliage and in otherwise great health!
**Note to you all** You do not know what has been used on your plants prior purchase when using a normal store. Chemicals and fertilizers can be quite common place. Wash and preferably re-pot any plants you by of the shelf to be better safe than sorry :) .
Remember....not all plants are safe for your Cresties either. You MUST research into toxic plants and woods (if you like to gather your own like myself) before going the live route for your gecko!
Some plants are more forgiving to neglect in areas such as UV and water, whereas some will require specific care to thrive in your enclosure.
Again, you need to look into what you are prepared to offer..not just for your crestie...but for your plants too.
There are many Great sites you can use if you are unsure of buying of the shelf..

Terra World (ebay store)
This are but three safe online stores you can use.
BromeliadNow, you don't have to go live, infact, many keepers don't.
Plastic is a great alternative to live....but stop!!! put down the reptile branded plants!! you will go bankrupt.
Dunelm Mill, ebay searches for artificial (fake, silk, plastic...all may yield slightly different results) plants or flowers and florists can be massively cheaper and give a bigger range...i got my plants for the snakes on a local market stall!
Plastic are great for ease of cleaning and durability.
