I've touched on this briefly on my Facebook page but not in any kind of detail.
Towards the end of last year finally saw Pangea fruit mix hit the UK!
It was like black Friday with everybody wanting to try it when it hit geckodiet.co.uk ...and i was no exception!
Waiting by the sit of my pants for the postman to deliver this much talked about diet, i couldn't wait to try this on my guys!
My experience?
Day one: Picky sods ate *less* than normal! apparently it can take a few days so i'm going to persist with it till mid next week and see how it goes. If it continues to be a meh food with the gang it'll just go to the 2 that has eaten it and crickets (as part of rotation) but firmly remain with clarks which i know IS a hit with the gang. Kaname the youngest girl was only slightly less in her intake, Kyoko licked at the edges little and the two boys a lick if that...I began to feel a wee disheartened!
Day two: Improvement was just not going to make an appearance! Another night of hardly any feeding and a morning of disappointment as i checked the enclosures. Impressed i was not *le sigh*
Clinging on to some remaining hope i did something that i don't usually do....I left it for a 3rd night without changing the foodbowl....its not unknown for geckos to like food slightly older/riper afterall!
Day three: SUCCESS!!! 3 empty bowls (2 geckos completely converted) and one half gone! Pleased was an understatement! I swear my dancing brought on the rain!
After the Pangea blitz of 2013?
Pangea has remained a firm favorite with 3 of the gang ever since, the remainder gecko, Kyoko, eating heartly when mixed with Clarks but not so much on its own. Weight increased beautifully and it was like jumping that finally hurdle in getting them to weights and proportions i was happy with! ALL now REFUSE Repashy FULLSTOP! and can be a little picky with clarks unless mixed with the Pangea. Would i recommend Pangea? Yes, yes and YES! Don't expect over night changes but this, for me, is one of the best things i've gone and purchased for them!
I'll get onto part two after dinner..........i'm famished! This monkey needs more than a biscuit and bit of cheese to get by :P
